RaceChrono Integration

Stream KDMLink's CAN-derived vehicle data into RaceChrono over BLE using a per-vehicle channel definition file.

RaceChrono Integration

KDMLink can stream your vehicle's live CAN data straight into RaceChrono over Bluetooth, so you get KDMLink's engine, tire, and G-force channels alongside RaceChrono's lap timing.

This is configured from Settings → RaceChrono.

Setup

1

Select a vehicle

RaceChrono channels are vehicle-specific. The RaceChrono settings screen shows the vehicle currently selected in Settings — pick one there first if none is shown.

2

Enable BLE Integration

Toggle BLE Integration on. This tells your N-Link to broadcast the RaceChrono BLE service so RaceChrono can find and connect to it as a sensor.

3

Export the channel file

Tap Share .rcz File to export your vehicle's Channel Definition File (.rcz) through your device's share sheet, then open it with RaceChrono to import all of KDMLink's CAN channels at once.

Channel file availability varies by vehicle:

The .rcz channel file is only available for vehicles KDMLink has published one for. If yours isn't ready yet, the Share button is disabled and shows a "Coming Soon" badge — BLE Integration still works once a channel file is available.

In RaceChrono

With BLE Integration on and the channel file imported, add your N-Link as a sensor in RaceChrono and its KDMLink channels (from the imported .rcz) become available alongside RaceChrono's GPS-based lap timing.

  • Sessions — KDMLink's own recording and playback, independent of RaceChrono.
  • Pairing & Connecting — connect your N-Link before enabling BLE Integration.
